Band Biography
Refuge Island is a four-piece Indie Punk band, from Kilwinning, Scotland.
REFUGE ISLAND consists of 4 human beings that play musical instruments to create a fast and furious sound that makes you want to throw yourself against other humans in a kind and loving manner. Whatever brings you to one of their shows they’re guaranteed to give you some sexy moves whilst giving your ears a good clean out.
They released their third single "Vulgarism" on the 8th March 2020, along with a video (video released 13th March 2020), and is available in all major online stores, and has been lined up to be played by many radio stations across the UK and abroad.
They have supported many bands such as False Heads, The Black Delta Movement, Our Fold, Satyr Play, Two Tone Television and Brownbear, and have played Liverpool, Manchester, Live at Troon, Butefest, Bolton's Albert Hall, King Tuts and St Lukes, Stereo, PJ Molloys, Broadcast to name a few.
Influenced by the Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Libertines, The Stooges, False Heads, Trampoline and Slaves to name a few, the band is working hard on new music and will be touring across the UK in 2020.
